The inclusive citizen’s group, Choose Franklin was formed in Franklin, NH to focus on promoting the city by building on past achievements and facilitating future successes.  Formed in the spring of 2004, the Choose Franklin initiative provides community collaboration to revitalize the City of Franklin.  This successful approach involves input and participation from the entire community; merchants, property owners, local government officials, and civic leaders who are all unified in this effort. Indeed, over the past year our membership has nearly tripled in size from 30 to over 130 members.
   
Choose Franklin acts as an advocate for the municipality to coordinate the various efforts of individuals, groups and committees to ensure unification.  Additionally, the committee works to insure that previous initiatives, such as those outlined in the city’s “Vision 2000” plan, receive greater support for their continuing efforts. 
 
Through four committees -- Economic, Design, Organization and Promotion -- the Choose Franklin group fosters communications, promotes the historical and natural resource ingredients of the vibrant community; encourages the development of new businesses to help build a vibrant downtown; and develops strategies for the City of Franklin to help serve the needs of all residents and business owners to grow and thrive as a community.  Choose Franklin is dedicated to the revitalization of the City of Franklin as a social center, promoting a healthy, friendly, economically viable, and attractive community
